About Us
Our Name
Paleza (pah-lay-zuh) draws inspiration from the Sesotho word "Palesa," meaning "flower." The name honors a special connection to Lesotho, where Paleza’s Founder, Tori, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Tori’s time spent in Lesotho and South Africa shaped her personal and professional journey in profound ways.
Our Symbol
The protea flower is often the first plant to regenerate after wildfires and embodies the remarkable resilience of women's sports: thriving against challenging conditions just as women athletes have persevered through decades of disenfranchisement. Much like the athletes, teams, and leagues we champion, the protea stands as a testament to determination, adaptability, and the power to flourish despite improbability.
Our Purpose
From ancient Greece to today’s Olympic podiums, flowers have traditionally marked athletic excellence. But too often girls and women face barriers that make it harder to participate and thrive in sport.
Paleza exists to change that. We believe every supporter, athlete, and advocate has a role to play in writing the next chapter of women’s sports. Through thoughtfully designed merchandise that doesn’t just represent women’s sports, but actively reinvests in it. Every piece helps fund programs that break down barriers for girls and women at the youth, collegiate, and elite levels.
Because for talent to truly bloom, it needs the right conditions: investment, access, opportunity, and recognition. We’re building those conditions through intentional programming and experiences that nurture growth on and off the field. Whether athletes stay in sport or carry their lessons into other areas of life, we’re here to help them reach their fullest potential.
